Fresh Pad is a flagship initiative of Shubham Charitable Association dedicated to promoting menstrual dignity, women’s empowerment, and environmental sustainability. Launched to address the challenges of menstrual waste and lack of access to safe products, Fresh Pad produces reusable, BIS-certified sanitary pads that are made by rural women and delivered to underserved communities across India. By combining health awareness with livelihood generation, the initiative ensures that women can access safe and affordable menstrual care while earning an income and contributing to a cleaner, zero-waste future for the country.
Initiatives
Fresh Pad: Sanitary Napkin Making and Selling
Shubham Charitable Association (SCA) empowers rural women through our Fresh Pad project by manufacturing and selling affordable, safe, and easy-to-use cotton sanitary napkins. This initiative promotes women’s health and hygiene while providing them with income-generating skills. Notable supporters include Dr. Daljit Singh Sethi and Mrs. Payal Bajaj.
Training on Sanitary Napkin Making
SCA offers hands-on training for women to produce high-quality sanitary napkins. Trainees learn manufacturing, packaging, and hygiene standards, enabling sustainable livelihoods and menstrual hygiene awareness in communities.
Employment Opportunities
Trained women gain employment with Fresh Pad, earning a stable income, gaining expertise, and supporting their families. This helps break the cycle of poverty and empowers women to lead dignified lives.
