Activities
Mission Zero Waste Period
Since 1998, Shubham Charitable Association has been empowering women and uplifting communities. Our flagship Zero Waste Period initiative aims to eliminate menstrual waste pollution, with a goal of reducing 500 crore units of menstrual waste in India every month by 2030. At its core is the Fresh Pad, a reusable sanitary pad made from certified hemp cloth, durable for up to three years. This eco-friendly solution reduces waste, saves money, and empowers women.
Fresh Pad: Sanitary Napkin Making and Selling
Through the Fresh Pad project, we manufacture and sell affordable, safe, and easy-to-use cotton sanitary napkins. The project promotes women’s health, hygiene, and economic empowerment, supported by Dr. Daljit Singh Sethi and Mrs. Payal Bajaj.
Training on Sanitary Napkin Making
SCA provides hands-on training to women on manufacturing, packaging, and hygiene standards for sanitary pads, creating sustainable livelihood opportunities.
Employment Opportunities
Trained women gain employment with Fresh Pad, earning a stable income, acquiring expertise, and supporting their families.
Health and Menstrual Hygiene Awareness
We raise awareness about proper menstrual hygiene and women’s health, promoting safe, long-lasting, high-quality sanitary products.
Vocational Training
SCA provides skill development in tailoring, IT, beauty & wellness, handicrafts, and agriculture, helping women and youth achieve sustainable livelihoods.
Education and Child Welfare
We support access to education and child welfare initiatives for underprivileged children in rural and tribal areas.
Safe Child Bright Nation
Our value-based initiative nurtures self-aware, confident, and compassionate children. The “My Body, My Dignity” module teaches children (ages 4–10) about body awareness, safety, consent, and self-worth through interactive learning, role play, and real-life scenarios.
Natural Farming
SCA promotes sustainable agriculture practices that preserve soil health, biodiversity, and water resources. Techniques include using compost and beneficial microorganisms, avoiding chemical pesticides and fertilizers, and offering training in mushroom cultivation, seasonal crops, local spices, honey production, and more.
Elderly Care
Our initiatives support the health, well-being, and dignity of senior citizens, providing care, companionship, and resources for a fulfilling life.
Environmental Conservation
We organize clean-up drives, plantation campaigns, and awareness programs on zero-waste and eco-friendly practices to protect the environment.
Women’s Empowerment and Self-Help Groups (SHGs)
Through SHGs, women gain skills, participate in production, and contribute to the success of initiatives like Fresh Pad, achieving financial independence.
